


The Challenge
World Vision Germany operated a standalone site within a larger multisite Drupal setup originally designed to serve all EU offices. As an independent branch, they required tailored improvements in performance, security, and scalability.
The site had to fulfill two key roles: it needed to be a trusted, informative resource and a fast, reliable fundraising platform. It had to perform well in search rankings (SEO), load quickly under heavy traffic, and stay compliant with World Vision’s global standards. Continuous updates and strong infrastructure were critical to maintain stability, donor trust, and campaign effectiveness.

Our Solution
Working closely with the World Vision Germany team, we delivered end-to-end support — from technical SEO improvements to infrastructure upgrades and ongoing optimization.
We began with a full SEO audit, which led to targeted enhancements: better content structure, improved XML sitemaps, proper meta and canonical tag usage. We focused on speed and mobile responsiveness, directly improving Core Web Vitals and visibility in search results.
On the infrastructure side, we reworked the hosting setup to better handle high traffic volumes, especially during large campaigns. Caching layers, CDN integration, and server-level improvements helped reduce load times and increase stability.

To connect donor operations, we integrated the site with World Vision’s CRM. This ensured secure, real-time data sync for donations and sponsorships, improved segmentation, and enabled more personalized communication, all while complying with data protection regulations.
We also established a continuous support model, including proactive monitoring, regular patching, and performance tuning helping the platform stay secure and aligned with evolving user and organizational needs.

The Results
The improvements transformed World Vision Germany’s site into a fast, secure, SEO-optimized fundraising hub. Organic traffic increased thanks to better search visibility, and performance remained strong even during peak donation periods.
CRM integration led to more effective donor management and campaign targeting, directly supporting the organization’s mission of connecting more sponsors with children in need.
Today, the website not only informs,it drives action. It has become a reliable platform that supports both the organization’s storytelling and its fundraising goals, helping World Vision Germany scale its impact across the globe.
