Busy January at Cheppers

In the last months of 2014 the Hungarian Drupal community got a huge boost and the members started to work on several different and very interesting (and important!) topics. We at Cheppers feel very important to contribute back to Drupal and we believe that the community is one of the most significant cornerstones. We are very proud to be part of the newly founded Hungarian Drupal Association, with 3 members in the board it is sort of a pleasant obligation too. So, we decided to start the new year actively, organizing several events in our office and going on location to share the Cheppers love. See our agenda below for January:

8th January: Hungarian Drupal community meeting to discuss the details about the new website design for Drupal.hu, the Hungarian Drupal network.

13th January: Kick-off meeting for the newly founded Hungarian Drupal Association to talk about the agenda of this year, set the goals and responsibilities.

16th January: Hungarian Golang Meetup
As some of our colleagues are already working on projects where we combine Drupal with GO, we decided to spice up the Hungarian Golang community and will host a meetup in our office to share the knowledge and raise the interest in fellow developers too. Feel free to join! (If anyone turns up who doesn't speak Hungarian, we will switch to English.)

17th January: Drupal Global Sprint Weekend 2015
In 2014 we hosted the global sprint (see YesCT's blogpost about it here), and we decided to turn it into a tradition so we host it again! Drupalists in Hungary and everyone interested in contribution: come to our office and work on patches and translations with us!

16-18th January: DrupalCamp Brighton
Gergely, our CTO and myself are going to DrupalCamp Brighton in the United Kingdom to meet friends from previous events and to get to know new Anglo-Saxon Drupal people.

20th January: Drupal Iron Camp Hungarian team kick-off meeting
Again, another interesting kick-off meeting, this time about Drupal Iron Camp! As I'm leading the event organization and it will be held in Budapest (details coming soon!), we put together a nice little Hungarian team and will discuss every task that should be done around the event. If you are interested in how to create a fantastic Drupal-show, come and see what we talk about!

29th January: Budapest Drupal User Group Meetup
It has been a tradition for years that the Budapest Drupal meetups are hosted in different companies' offices. This year we start at the Cheppers office with two interesting presentations about Docker and multilingual Drupal. See the agenda on meetup.com and visit us if you are interested! Well, that's it for us in January. Hopefully we will see you at one of these events!
